Insurance and Fees

As an out-of-network provider, we do not accept insurance. However, many insurance companies will reimburse the policy holder for services with a non-network psychologist. Payment in full is required at each session. We will be happy to assist you billing your insurance company, but we do not bill directly.

Credit Cards

Along with check and cash, we accept credit cards, specifically, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. In addition, we accept check cards for payment.

Cancellations and Missed Appointments

Please give 24 hours notice if you are not able to keep an appointment. Otherwise, you will be charged the full fee for the missed appointment or late cancellation.

Emergency Contact

In a life-threatening emergency or severe mental health crisis call Holly Hill Respond at 919-250-7000 or dial 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. Do not use email or voicemail for the above emergencies.

Therapist’s Extended Absence

When Dr. Bixler is away for an extended period (such as vacation or educational seminar) he will provide clients with the name and telephone number of a therapist who will be covering for him during his absence.
